What was your motivation for participating in the executive education Excellence in Key Account Management at the University of St.Gallen (HSG)?
In view of the shortage of skilled workers and the fast-moving economic changes, I believe it is essential, especially in today’s world, to stay on the ball through education. Lifelong learning is the fundamental basis for a successful career, especially today. In times of technical progress (digitalisation) and increasing globalisation (interlinking of topics) I expect to continue to train and educate myself further in order to be able to meet the new requirements in the best possible way.
What did you particularly like during the implementation?
The HSG combines the teaching of practice-relevant topics with their application to concrete problems of our management task. In this extra-occupational further education diploma, we got to know and apply sound and up-to-date concepts, methods and instruments that support us in our daily work. We learned how to manage sales according to the latest findings and how to implement success factors in a targeted manner. In addition, both the top-class cross-industry exchange of experience within the class and the lecturers were convincing, as were the high professional standards with a strong practical and application orientation.
What are your main findings from the seminar?
For me personally, I mainly take new sales strategies and operational skills with me. The training modules are very practice-oriented and I can integrate them into my job in a targeted and individual way. The St.Gallen key account concept showed me new opportunities for efficient and effective market development, which I am now trying to position within Basler Versicherung.
